Welcome back for the 2019-2020 chapter year! Our kickoff event will be a member social at the Saint Louis Football Club game on September 1st – members are invited to bring a non-member guest and enjoy free food at Llywellyn’s Patio on the Pitch at the WWT Soccer Park starting at 7:30pm. Please join us to learn about our upcoming event schedule and some new membership initiatives.
ISACA International is organizing the first CommunITy Day, a worldwide day of community service on October 5th. ISACA St. Louis plans to participate in two ways: donation of supplies to the USO of Missouri and volunteering at the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank. We encourage you to review the USO of Missouri’s wish list and bring a donation to the Kickoff Member Social, where donations will be collected for delivery on October 5th. Additionally, we encourage you and your family, friends or coworkers to join us on October 5th for 2 hours of volunteering the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank’s warehouse.
The remainder of the 2019-2020 event schedule is nearly finalized, which is always accessible on Eventbrite. Two speaking opportunities remain in Spring 2020 – please contact us if you are interested in becoming a presenter.
Continuing our efforts to increase member value through decreased cost, many of the 2019-2020 events will be available to chapter members at no additional cost (beyond annual chapter membership dues, which remain at $25/year). Many events will be available to non-members at “full price”, typically $25/event. In order to manage no-cost membership registration and reduce no-shows, the following Eventbrite promotion code program has been implemented:
When registering for a paid chapter event using Eventbrite, chapter members should enter their ISACA ID to receive a 100% discount. If you do not attend an event for which you registered using your ISACA ID promotion code, your ISACA ID will lose eligibility for discounted chapter event registration for the remainder of the chapter year. Chapter membership promotional discount may not apply to all events.
Thank you to everyone who has come forward as a new volunteer! August 15th will begin the onboarding process with a volunteer luncheon. New volunteers will allow our chapter to build on our success and reach additional existing and new chapter members. Finally, thank you to our existing volunteers – without you, our chapter would not be able to operate.
