Under the cover of fireworks and a St. Louis FC victory vs. Hartford Athletic, ISACA St. Louis held its 2019-2020 kickoff event on Sunday Sept 1st. The chapter rented “Llwelyn’s Pub on the Pitch” for chapter members and a guest to socialize and enjoy a beautiful evening and a great game together.

We began by recapping the tremendously successful prior year which saw a new board, new website, updated by-laws, renewed social media engagement, 8 events reaching nearly 375 members, our first SheLeadsTech event, and over 8% membership growth (more than almost all other US chapters)!

Continuing the successes of the prior year, the board discussed chapter plans for the coming year, with a focus on increasing member value through decreased costs, volunteer engagement, education & CPEs, event variety (including location/time, type of event, and intended audience), and community service.

With community service in mind, beginning with the kick-off event members donated items for the USO of Missouri, which will be deliver to the USO on October 5th.  While all events are posted on our website (isaca-stlouis.org), we highlighted ISACA International’s first CommunITy Day, a worldwide day of community service on October 5th. ISACA St. Louis is very excited to participate, with our upcoming CommunITy Day planned for October 5th at the St. Louis Area Diaper Bank.
