Dear fellow members,
The ISACA Saint Louis board has been working hard over the past few months to develop a 2020-2021 plan with a clear focus: you, our members.
I am excited to share some of that plan.
First and foremost, with the challenges presented by the COVID-19 pandemic, our board has voted unanimously to waive chapter membership dues for the 2020-2021 chapter year. This is a one-time waiver, whereby chapter dues will be $0 for all members. We do expect to reinstate chapter dues with the 2021-2022 program year.
Secondly, our board has also unanimously approved to move all chapter events for the 2020-2021 program year to virtual-only events, and to be offered at no cost to all chapter members. This decision was made with consideration for the health and safety of all.
Thirdly, we will be hosting our Annual General Meeting (AGM) as well as a one-hour educational session in September. This will be our first event of the program year, each attendee will earn 2 CPEs, and it will be entirely virtual and free of cost. In this meeting we will cover details for the announcements in this letter and other exciting developments for the upcoming year. I hope you all can attend.
Finally, thank you to our board, our volunteers, and to all our members for your help and understanding as we navigate these challenging times together.
Best wishes and good health to you and yours,
Adam M. Sommer
